  1. Baldelli' pollyannish look on the bright side approach got to be cloying. At the postgame press conference, he looked lost and pitiless, like an innocent after a slaughter.
  2. The walks, the errors, this was an embarrassment. I didn't understand the Littell/Stashak moves either and the less said about Gibson the better.
  3. La Tortuga over Castro would have been better. Castro can't hit, is overrated defensively and Astudillo can hit and is a creature out of Grimm's Fairy Tales, he's the mythological factor that could have propelled the team to victory. Adding Gibson was fine, even if sentiment played a role. Hope they can win this f*@$ing thing!
  4. *La Tortuga is in some ways at least in a literary sense an uncanny Indio version of Yogi Berra. They are both awkward looking semi-comical creatures who surprised and delighted people with their dexterity and athleticism and peasant charm. And, I happen to believe that like Yogi - Astudillo is more than acquainted with a pivotal, baffling force of the Universe that can't ever be quantified and that the Twins could surely use a bit of to break this curse - Luck.
  5. If Astudillo plays he will make a positive contribution at the plate and in the field. I'd bet on it.
  6. A lot of experts said they wouldn't win 100 games at the All-Star break and nobody is predicting they'll go all the way but with the reconstituted bullpen...I think they will.
  7. Astudillo needs to be on the playoff roster. He is mytho-poetic, the good luck charm of the team and he will hit.
  8. Another good win to nail it shut. Infield defense is still shoddy Dobnak is stellar.
  9. *La Tortuga! The drop-off from Garver to Castro is immense. Sure hope everyone's healthy for the playoffs.
  10. With the pitching as deficient as it is - they need a healthy Kepler and Garver to have a chance.
  11. Sano and Cruz are a killer combo. Duffy is the man, now. Graterol belongs on the roster. Games like this are really the norm now. It is what it is.
  12. Berrios should have been yanked two batters earlier. Luckily Cleveland lost and they will need more Cleveland losses to win this.
  13. May and Romo scare the hell out of me. Duffy and Rogers are calming.
  14. Berrios looking good. Welcome seeing Marwin. Like to see this team win 100.
  15. Can't blame Dobniak. Can't have middle infield defense like that. Start tomorrow off with a win.
  16. Graterol! Team really rose to the occasion, a sweep tomorrow would bury Cleveland.
  17. It would have been nice if Lamarre had not been rung up with his bat on his shoulder.
  18. Garver carried the team on his shoulders.Big hits by *La Tortuga and Schoop. An important display of character.
  19. Oh, ****. You'd think they could have gotten a win out of it last night. Thorpe, Smeltzer, Graterol...they need a minor miracle now to win the division.
