Oh, the humanity! ..... Wait ..... Reed DFA'd because of Hildenberger ... Word play on Hildenberger's recent performances .... Straight to hell with me .....

I have to save one for two more days.

Adams has got to be a placeholder just having his turn open on this revolving door. We'll probably see this over the next couple months until the trade deadline approach is decided. I hope Falvine is going to choose to "go for it" sooner rather than later when Will Smith, Mychal Givens, et al. are already wearing new uniforms. Understand them trying to be as patient as possible though. The prospect prices for those guys will be sky high this early in the season.

Really? Have you watched Pineda pitch? Does he seem like the kind of guy that is going to be able to get up in the middle of a game and get himself ready in short order? Pineda looks like he needs all the pre-game long toss and bullpen warm-up time he can get. Graterol as a weapon in the bullpen down the stretch this season could make some sense though, and there is plenty of precedent for it around the league.

But, but, but you said that Hildenberger had become a proven commodity .

Dude ... So like, send Hildy to Walden Pond or something .... I don't know about me, but I bet Ralph and Henry abide.

This is a completely uninformed take. It isn't just the Angels that have his number. You forgot the Yankees, Astros and Tigers. It isn't a kneejerk reaction either. His last 41 innings of hot garbage is more than enough to justify a demotion. He was the worst player on the team and deserves to be gone.

Before today's game, Hildy was at roughly a .335 BAA, 8.30 ERA and 5.00 FIP since the 2018 AS break. Those numbers are all worse now. It isn't a small sample size for a reliever either. That isn't the type of player that you want or want to try to fix in a season where a deep playoff run looks to be in the picture so far. It's just too bad they let it extend for a couple games longer into the season. At least the Twins went 1-1 during the two games that Hildenberger tried to lose for them.

    WooHoo!!! Hildenberger is gone!
  11. MMMordabito
Nope ... He's done ... League has his gimmick figured out .... DFA .... If he's a "good guy", then he can eat innings in games that don't matter in Rochester.
  12. MMMordabito
DFA Hildenberger ... Don't even option him .... Just DFA him .... Doesn't need to be on the 25 or the 40
  13. MMMordabito
Oh, I get it ... They had to get his ERA over 7 before demoting him ... That's hard coded into the Falvinelli Sabrtron 3000
