    I've said it about Sano before and I will say it about Polanco now. Roll him out there everyday at SS in 2017 - figure out what you have. It is very conceivable we will have a nightmarish left side of the infield, but we will be in the midst of regime change and a different baseball philosophy. The season is probably lost. I don't say "is" because it is baseball, strange things happen (aka 2015 Twins). Also, it could be very painful as we don't have the bat missing ability that other pitching staffs have. We have some pieces that can do that, but we will be living on a wing and a prayer for that to happen to a strong extent next season. Because of that the infield might look even worse. Polanco's bat looks to be strong, if he can be a SS, all the better. I honestly do not believe the Twins get the haul that is required in a Brian Dozier trade. When and if he get's 40HR's, it would be a blow against the optics of this team if they trade him. Everyone in the baseball front offices knows about Dozier's struggles and I don't think they will give us a red carpet trade. I'd rather keep him and hope he is a superstar in the making the next 4 years. (He'll be a free agent before then, but I think you all catch my drift.)

    Plouffe should be adios this offseason. He is definitely a MLB ball player, this year did not turn out for him... what do you do. It is now time for the Twins to put Sano at 3rd full-time and let him mangle that opportunity into "You suck, but we will stick with it with the hope you will improve" or we don't have a projectable future 3B and he is relegated to be a very young career DH. Make of it what you will, but let's not trick ourselves with unrealistic fantasies. Sano has a bat that will certainly improve. Anything else is being blind and not knowing you are playing a game of darts.

    I was thinking of that when I wrote it up. But honestly, I don't care about PEDs. Maybe BA is a candidate. I am sure he is a suspect, but like all media these days, the spin doctors are out and causing chaos. I miss the good old days, when box scores were solid and as a spectator things were pure. The scrutinization of American society is going to lead us down the road to ruin... if it has not already.

    This year is the 20th Anniversary of Brady Anderson's you know what season. Pick up the pace Dozier, We need our own Brady Anderson WTF season. Maybe it is already that.

    Even if it is some what tainted, I really got my kicks off the Roger Maris homer chase by McGwire and Sosa back in 1998. Dozier's quest for 40 surpasses that 10 fold. I have to be honest, I never thought we would see a Twins player hit 40 jacks in a season again. The quest is not completed yet, but it looks promising. Viva Dozier in a suck of all suck seasons!

    I have a lead Platoon and I will keep you updated. If Dozier Hits #40, we need to enjoy and take it in for 15 minutes, after that, we need to get the Hell Out of Dodge!

    The outcome of this game does not surprise me. What surprises me is that Dozier has 35 home runs. If Dozier hits the 40 mark, it is a sad testament to all the wackos who believe we are living in the end times. 40 HR's by Dozier will seal the deal and confirm that ideology. That kind of thing just doesn't happen for the Twins. Goodbye World...

    Add an "e" at the end, delete one of the "n's", put a "J' in front of it. It might not be a spice, but it is an herb. Just saying.

    I am not against the trade Dozier crowd or against the don't trade Dozier crowd. The right thing to do to me is in gray area. For a franchise that has taken it's lumps in finding power hitting players, it is refreshing to see Dozier put up the numbers he has - good all around. When a Twins player hits 30HR's it is a shocking event. The Twins did not have a 30HR guy for 10 years during the height of the PHD era. As a fan, I felt left out. Since 2006, we have had 5 individual seasons of 30HR's - Morneau x 2, Hunter 1, Willingham 1, Dozier 1. I doubt Dozier will hit the 40 mark, but if he does, I believe I will cream in my jeans. You only trade Dozier for a Superstar Haul, other than that, I say the Hell with it. Something needs to keep fans interested and HR's do that to some extent for bummed out fans in a bummed out town (Sports Wise). So many things are unpredictable in this game, I could see the Twins bouncing back next season as hard as that is for most to fathom.

    If Molitor's job is safe, then the new GM should gut every coach and replace them with his guys. New Ideas are needed. Too many of the young players are failing with the exception of a few. This was suppose to be last year's folly, not this year's, and I feel it will linger into next year if changes are not made up and down in this org. IMO. That being said, it might not change a thing.

    Instead of bitching about his contract and the money he will collect, I would like to give a salute to Prince Fielder for a tremendous career. As a baseball fan, I am bummed out he can no longer go on at a fairly youthful age. 50HR's at the ripe old age of 23, he seemed decently athletic for a guy who was 6' and 280lbs. IMO he was a much better player than his dad and I wish he was able to continue his career. Sure, he had his flaws as all players do, but he was fun to watch in the batters box, and fun to watch carrying the load he has chugging around the bases in an impressive way.
