    The truth of the matter is that Happ may very well cruise through the first few innings. Wait til the 4th or 5th inning roll along. and Detroit's hitters have a 2nd or 3rd look. Happ will end up having full conversations eith the people sitting behind home plate in the stands.

    You would think more of the Twins faster runners would try and bunt on Lotsa Lynn. He doesn't throw that hard to make it difficult to bunt on, and I bet he's more like a snail than a cat, coming off the mound.

    You really need to double Pineda's workload during a pitching performance. Pitches thrown + arm and neck gyrations=total pitches thrown.

    Simmons is a difficult player to analyze. There's no question he has a 'knowledge' of the game. If you watch him play, you would see a high baseball IQ. He's always thinking ahead of the opposition and his own team. Unfortunately, that is forgotten when he makes an error on an easy play. We've seen him drop a throw to second. Do you really think he's not capable of catching a throw to second base? I think he's guilty of losing concentration, getting bored while watching our pitchers, and generally just angry at this whole season. So to say he's bad, is not really a fair statement. He needs to tighten up his game and concentration. but he's certainly not a bad player.

    Quick Question: Can a team trade for the same player more than once during the regular season? i.e. Twins trade Robles to Chisox, who trade him back to Twins. On July 31, Twins trade Robles to White Sox, again.

    Nothing like a hot, steamy night to get the juices flowing. Time for a little pay back and a little chin music aria.

    The only stat that sours me on Rogers, and granted there are many in the same group, but his inherited runners that score is at 57% (stat from last week) for the 2021 season. I want my all-star reliever to do a better job of coming in and putting out the fire completely, most of the time.

    The closest color to skin. Today's game our pitcher had to change gloves; too close to looking like the jerseys and pants. Pink came to mind, as it could blend like skin. I guess I could have typed peach, or whatever. What do you read into using the color pink? I guess one could say it stand for supporting the fight against breast cancer, but that was not the intent.
