  1. He was signed out of Indy ball last year, not long after his college career was over. He only started catching once he reached Indy ball. The bat does look good so far this year!
  2. Not at all. I think he should spend the whole year in low A. He is doing OK, but he is young, and this is only his second year playing SS.
  3. I fully agree with wanting to see his walk rate go up, but I don't think his K rate is bad, right around 20% is pretty good these days.
  4. Kirilloff just keeps hitting! Soon it will be time to challenge him at Ft Meyers.
  5. 98 years old this year, and still writing, what a run!
  6. Buck - its a curveball, learn it, don't swing at it!
  7. I don't think Tillman should be the only signing. If he is, then I'll be disappointed myself. I'm thinking he could possibly be a good back end starter, a 4 or 5. Let him start the season, if he looks like he did last year, send him packing.
  8. I am all for signing Tillman to a 1 year deal. He has been an opening day starter for Baltimore. I also don't think this should be the only signing. This team still needs a top end starter, such as Darvish, if the money/years are good.
  9. If this team expects to win, in no way should Grossman be in any large roll on the team. Grossman is mediocrity, and this team should be moving on from mediocrity.
  10. Even looking at stats in the minors is a spotty at best. Two stat lines for last two full years in minors for two "Ace" pitchers. Corey Kluber 2011 - AAA - ERA 5.56, WHIP 1.48, K/9 8.5, K/BB 2.04 2010 - AA/AAA - ERA 3.49, WHIP 1.406, K/9 9.3, K/BB 2.95 Dallas Keuchel 2011 - AA/AAA - ERA 4.12, WHIP 1.265, K/9 5.0, K/BB 2.33 2010 - A+/AA - ERA 3.77, WHIP 1.285, K/9 6.9, K/BB 3.69 Berrios has much better stats in the minors than either of these two, so his chances of becoming an Ace are not out of the realm, nor does it exclude anyone else in the system from becoming an Ace.
  11. Neil Allen should go, other than that, I don’t see a need to make any other changes.
  12. The FO must feel that he can implement their vision on the field.
  13. I'd say you evened out with your predictions, low on some, high on others, but overall pretty good!
  14. Trading Santana makes the most sense. Sell high on a pitcher that has been pitching above his career averages, entering his mid 30s. His future production can easily be replaced in FA this winter, and the prospects he could net would be helpful going forward.
