Maybe he was the only player they could get a hold of?

Finally. It's been a week. Kind of thought it would be an outfielder.

Another thing that I like about him is his playoff experience. MLBTR did an interview with his agent printed December 12th, and in it the agent said that having an opportunity to return to the playoffs was "of utmost importance". Makes me think that the braintrust must have told Cruz and his agent some plans yet for the offseason to convince him to sign here. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2018/12/nelson-cruz-bryce-dixon-agent.html

I'd like to see another Pineda-type signing this year, since there will probably be three more rotation spots available in 2020.

The only reason that I would want the A's to win is if it ensures that the Astros, A's, and Mariners all make the playoffs while the *hated Yankees are sent home.

The amount of outs on the bases this year is just mind boggling

Sometimes I wonder if Belisle is on the team to get a better draft pick next year. Only reason that I can imagine.

Lance Lynn in a salary dump

I hope its decent. I would have extended him a qo at the end of the season.

Any chance that Belisle didn't make the trip? Kinda giving the matts a bad rap

Jake Cave, congrats on a helluva series. Your reward is the bench!

I was listening to the pregame on the radio and the Dazzleman predicted a career high in strikeouts for Berrios.

Very disappointing basically selling 74th pick for 6 million

The last few years it seems like this is an extremely streaky team. I wouldn't be that surprised if they crank off another 20 win May. Come June 1st we could be singing praises about this team and if they are a true WS contender. While I don't think they we be quite there yet, I do think the narrative will be different in a month. Or I'll eat my hat. I just need to find a good hat recipe.

Um so last night even Hildenberger thought he should have been pulled, right? Hence the tardiness to the mound.

Hey thanks for the fun facts about tigers. Turns out we have something in common. They have long whiskers to guide them in the dark, and I have long whiskeys to guide me in the dark.

The Twins had a broadcast auction a couple of years back. I bought a couple of backpacks. One had a signed Ricky Nolasco ball. Yay!

I'm wondering if Santana will join Pineda on the 60 day to make room for all these starting pitchers

I've seen on other threads that people want to sign him to an extension. If I'm not mistaken the Twins have to offer at least 80% of his current salary to sign him to an extension (Or 18.4 million). Obviously that's a bit too high so he will reach FA and then the balls in his court. I'm ok with a competitive offer under say seven million but ultimately he will know the direction of the team best and either 1) re sign with the Twins. 2 ) retire. 3) play elsewhere

I'd rather have Darvish and keep my two draft picks.
  21. TheMatt
I'd rather have 6 years of Burdi than 1 of Rodney
