  1. When Wallner goes back to back 40 HR seasons at the age of 23/24 (or any age) you let me know. Wallner is not a starting player on a decent team and if he is truly as you say 'good to great' (was that sarcasm?).....trade him like right now.
  2. Castro is basically the same age as Larnach and Wallner yet we give L&W all the time in the world to figure it out. So yes, age matters. If Wallner wasn't 'one of us' he would be seen as a poor man's joey Gallo. I would be interesting to see the ages of Hrbek, Puckett, Gagne, Gaetti, Brunansky and others from that era when they made their debut. Pretty sure they cut their teeth at Majors, not AA. L&W have had their time to prove themselves.... let's move on
  3. I see what ur saying but slightly disagree. We are right in the middle, mediocre.... and that is an even worse place to be than awful. Middling is exactly the time to blow it all up, hope to re-tool and give it a run in 2-3 years. Fans are apathetic anyway so get a bunch of fresh blood while you can. If not, we'll be having the same discussion in 2 years. No one should be off limits.
  4. Please tell me this is sarcastic. Alcala a decent young arm?
  5. It was Lewis, Greene, Mackenzie Gore, Brendan McKay and Kyle Wright. All seen as 1/1 possibilities that year. I believe Lewis came cheapest so hard to argue the pick.
  6. Sadly it was much of this TD staff and author of this article. The talk of the failed deadline went on for days/weeks here, and when Cleveland picked up Giolito, etc the vitriol escalated. I love this site but have never seen the main writers so negative and misguided.
  7. You are a great writer, this is a very fair article and it's nice to see some positivity after a while. Enjoy the ride!
  8. Perhaps. Maybe, maybe not 😁162 game season, gotta let it play out. That's what we love about baseball. Could turn on a dime still but it's been a fun ride!
  9. NN is normally so good but wish he had the ability to realize he has missed on trade deadline and waiver wire. 180 degrees off. But he's all in. Sometimes article writers need to understand they missed. I haven't seen that admission yet
  10. The multiple articles from this writer about the trade deadline are so old. Wish he had a proposal we should have made AND the other team would have accepted. The trade market was bare, or expensive. My god it's sept, we're up 5 and players coming back. Try to get over your odd opinion of the deadline (article writer), which may or may not be correct. Try to enjoy the 1st place ride
  11. Follow but never post. It's a 162 game season. Kepler this, Gallo that, can't hit lefty's, front office (surprised how TD staff has been so critical), Rocco trash, Arraez trade a disaster. Not sure how long we've been in 1st but seems like a while. People need to breathe. The banter is fun to read but division champs with good pitching have a shot, just watch (but I do wish the line up would strike out a bit less!). Lfg twins
  12. Can Statcast please release the length of Gallo's bomb? Hilarious it 'broke' Statcast yet it worked a minute later for AK's
  13. Just threw 6 shut out innings, his year has been incredible. Not sure I'd change it up?
  14. Possibly wait until you see the end product before firing? Everyone agreed Donaldson at his salary needed to be moved. Stand still, or change. I like it
  15. The goal is to crush, and 107.3 exit velo is pretty impressive. Kids been taking
  16. I am interested in how this post ages. You would trade Lewis, Rooker and Enlow for Greene. I have no idea how it ends but look forward to seeing
  17. Thank you Brock. That's a good mission and why the site I great. It seemed I disagreed with Squirrel, who I maybe had mistaken as a moderator, and then was told to be hi-jacking by him. Go twins, don the masks, get healthy, and bring the World Series to Minnesota! And long love Twins Daily...
  18. This, unlike Squirrel's response, is completely fair and makes sense. I Just don't want the site to be a platform, as there is such awesome content about the team we love (and hate at times!). The Author was great, the responses started to bend. Thank you Brock, this makes a lot of sense
