  1. Wheeler was pretty good in his one start. Bumgarner hasn't been bad. Ryu has been bad, but may be injured. Not disagreeing with you, just way to early to tell.
  2. Not at all, dude. You don't need to add anything to team salary by pitching Poppen. These games are twice as important as any other game in a normal season. Regardless of saving the bullpen, which he did, he was close to blowing the lead today. Still would have liked to see Poppen in there for the ninth.
  3. I will be very worried if Caleb Theilbar is used in any sort of non-save-the-bullpen role. I don't care what Rocco says about his stuff... there's a reason he hasn't played in five years... Now is not the time for reclamation projects.
  4. The bullpen is pretty good. Hopefully they keep it up.
  5. Dude has spent his entire career on the IL. Not shocking. Was hoping that he'd be able to pitch for the boys more often than he didn't. I guess time will tell.
  6. Would he be more expensive than a top line starter? Rogers Hader May Duffey Clippard Romo You can pretty much make any game a 6 inning game. I don't know if you give up a Lewis, Kiriloff, or Balazovic for a guy who would possibly throw 80 innings a year, probably less with the Twins. Maybe Larnach, Jeffers, and Thorpe get it done? Three top 10 guys would be a decent haul for the Brewers. According to mlb.com, the Brewers have the worst minor league system. Those three guys would instantly boost their system. Thorpe is already in the majors, Larnach could probably vie for a spot on some teams and would most likely be in multiple lineups next year, and Jeffers is considered by many to be close to major league ready. Baseball trade values says that this is a bit of an overpay for the Twins, but probably would be needed to get the Brewers to say yes. Also still leaves a ton of ammunition to acquire a top line starter.
  7. Of course not. That's unrealistic, but this just felt like a game that they were going to come back and win.
  8. Cleveland lost to the Reds. Looks like the Sox are going to pick up the W in Milwaukee.
  9. I agree 100%. I was watching at a buddies house for the early part of the game and while I was getting pissed that they couldn't do anything against Holland, I turned to him, maybe in the fifth inning, and was said the Twins are going to get going and win this game. Couldn't say that for a loonnnnggg time.
  10. If you were a Twin, Burdi, I would root for you; however, now you are the enemy...
  11. Home plate ump has been pretty weak all night tonight. That was a blatant strike.
  12. Thought they were trying to speed the game up!!!
  13. The olde pitch til you give up a baserunner.
  14. Would like to see Arraez get going here
