  1. And Rosario was going to try for an extra 180 feet on that hit. Sigh.
  2. Yep, and I typed that post before the hit. He laid off two bad pitches to start the at-bat. Also, Escobar!
  3. If you think Garver can be a long-term contributor, you can't keep him in the minors forever. The dude is already 27 years old. He deserves to be where he is today. But it would have been nice to pick up a Gimenez type and stash him in Rochester. Guys like that are available without an MLB commitment.
  4. Day game tomorrow. It's Wilson either tonight or tomorrow, pick your poison.
  5. I really like this new (old) version of Rosario that doesn't swing at garbage pitches.
  6. Ah, yes. Hard to say there. I didn't expect Lynn but if ownership sees a window, I wouldn't rule out some additions, provided they're not outrageously expensive.
  7. Payroll isn’t maxed next season. The team has a boatload of money coming off the books. But I agree it’s unlikely they target Ramos.
  8. So entirely obvious that it’s not even worth mentioning.
  9. It shouldn’t be that surprising, really. Buxton was out and Escobar played short for awhile. It’s hurt the team defensively to lose Polanco and then Buxton.
  10. And Buxton keeps the game going with his speed.
  11. He couldn't get back to the bag. The fielder was going to beat him back to second base.
  12. I'd also be angry if I was drinking Corona.
  13. And the desiccated corpse of Pujols strikes out.
  14. Mike Trout is just a really, really, really ****ing good baseball player.
  15. "So, what you do here to beat Trout is give him first base."
  16. I just don't see how he makes the team as a starter this season. Which is too bad, really.
  17. That's kinda funny but I guess there's little reason to go to SD (other than the Black Hills) and literally no reason to ever step foot in North Dakota. I'm missing the north corners: Washington, Oregon, Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Rhode Island. Also Alaska. So... I guess I've been in 41 states.
  18. What they're doing to McCain is despicable.
  19. Yep. The GOP primary system has become a toxic mess of people competing to see who can skew the furthest to the right. If the GOP had any decency left in them, guys like Kasich and Romney would be leading the party.
  20. I spent close to a decade with Anaheim as my home team. The beach balls are pretty fun, actually. But if one is getting out to the field every inning, it needs to be curtailed. FTR, fans who hit them out onto the field and deprive everyone else of fun are often booed.
  21. I liked the attempted steal. It was a breaking ball in the dirt. Dozier saw it going into the dirt and challenged the catcher. It took a good throw to beat him. That’s a risk I want to see a baserunner take every time, it just didn’t work out.
