  1. Not exactly pretty but I'll take it all day long.
  2. His defensive transformation is even more impressive than his offensive breakout, which says so much about how hard he has worked over the past ~18 months.
  3. Nah, it's a nice big glass of cold milk. 2%, Joe's favorite.
  4. They do both, which is totally awesome because we all know how baseball needs to slow down a bit.
  5. It's deceptively large, as the book only has printed text on left pages.
  6. *vomits on shoes* I absolutely despise that song being a seventh inning stretch ritual in modern baseball.
  7. Mitch, don't hit the ball so hard next time and you might get two bases.
  8. Baseball is a funny game. So it turns out that it only takes about 15 minutes for me to consider crossing "Jonathan Schoop" off my "People I want to kill" list.
  9. Oh, lighten up. That’s hardly a personal attack to poke fun of a guy’s ears in a light-hearted manner.
  10. Now it’s up to Tyler Duffey’s ears to get out of the inning. Seriously, though. Those ears. They’re basically a potato famine play in and of themselves.
  11. Schoop, I promise not to hate you for the next ten minutes after that play.
  12. Part of my original message is that while there are no time expectations (beyond a reasonable extent), they *will* be expected to perform moderator duties when they visit the site. We will go into more detail as they accept.
  13. Swainzag has accepted, will add him to the mod team later today.
  14. This is part of the reason why we shut down political threads, hopefully temporarily. Where does hate speech start? It's not an easy question to answer, particularly in the current environment. We all have sliding scales of morality and decency and there's no easy answer to the question. It's both identical to pornography and entirely different; you know it when you see it, yet you also don't. We're working on a solution. That's all I can say. It won't be easy to figure out, to put it lightly.
  15. The PMs have been sent out as of five minutes ago.
  16. Swing at the pitches you're given. If the pitcher has a problem with that, be better at pitching. If you want to argue the merits of a runner going hard into a base in a lop-sided game, sure, let's talk about the poor sportsmanship of potentially hurting someone in a game that has already been decided. But swinging at a pitch? Oh, come on. Make a bad pitch, get hammered. That's baseball. Maybe stop making bad pitches instead of taking out the frustration of your own ineptitude on a random batter down the line.
  17. It should be. The game is still being played. I don't think teams should try to steal in that situation due to injury concerns but it's hardly worth retaliation because MLB games are not sixth grade gym class.
  18. He was never as bad at the plate as he looked earlier in the season but he's so stretched in center that it makes my brain hurt.
  19. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MK6TXMsvgQg
  20. If the plan is to DH a player like Arraez, it'd be a lot smarter to trade him for a useful piece somewhere else on the diamond. DH is a waste of his ability.
  21. They'll be flipped tomorrow. And in ten days, they'll probably be flipped again.
  22. Yes, but they have some pretty serious roster issues.
