Ncgo4 Verified Member Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 As a kid I remember going to Milwaukee with my Dad & Grandfather and watching Aaron & Matthews. Then to the first Twins stadium to see Maris & Mantle. We had hopes at one point that Mauer & Morneau would be the Twins version but it didn't work out too well. it's potential only at this point, but Buxton & Sano could really become something special. Fortunately, this spring will give us a real glimpse into the future. I for one won't be surprised, at whatever happens. These are two very young men and they could kill the Grapefruit League or be killed by it. I expect them to birth demonstrate their potential and their need to go back to the high minors. i really wouldn't be surprised, however, to see Buxton look so good that he ends up being sent to Rochester instead of AA.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I think Buxton starts in AA next year. As it is, that's pretty agressive. I'm guessing he'll spend 2014 in the minors, but I think he's going to be playing opening day at TF in 2015.
