College: University of Minnesota

 

AJ was selected in the 25th round of the 2011 First-Year Player Draft. He spent 2011 with the Elizabethton Twins and in 2012 he is now with the Single-A Beloit Snappers. His primary position is SS but he is able to play multiple postions. He is currently batting .214 with 4 RBIs.

 

Most of you should already know AJ because he is a member of Twins Daily! Be sure to checkout his Blog to see how life is in the minors. His walk-out song is Paradise by Coldplay. Great Song! He maybe should have gone with Bieber like some of his teammates, but ohh well

Beloit beat West Michigan 8-0 today and AJ was a big part of it. He went 2-3 with 1 RBI, 1 BB and 1 run scored. He played 2B today and was batting 9th. AJ also got his first SB of the season.

AJ only played a few games over the last week. He combined went 5-14 with 2 doubles and 2 RBIs. His batting average is up to .265

 

AJ's biggest play came off the field when he joined a few of his teammates at Oak Hill Christian School last Wednesday. They read to some of the students. It's great to see the team give back to the community. Especially AJ!

AJ hit the go ahead sac fly in yesterdays 2-1 win over Peoria. It was his 10th RBI of the season. He is continuing to hit the ball well so his average is up to .256

AJ hit his first home run of the season last night! It was in Beloit's 4-2 win over Quad Cities. He is continuing to hit the ball well as he has brought his avg up to .271

The Snappers are 31-22 and are 3 GB from the Timber Rattlers. AJ has been a big part of the teams success as they fight for the division lead or at least a Wild Card spot. They currently have a 3 game lead over the Cougars for the Wild Card.
