I keep thinking back to Kubel being a multi-tool player, and then blowing out his knee in the fall league, and we lost the Kubel who was going to bring some speed to the lineup to go with his bat.

 

My favorite Kubel story is standing outside the player's entrance at the Metrodome and watching the multitude of fans being blown off for autographs by a few players, and Kubel coming thru and we timed it...he signed for 26 people in less than two minutes!
