Benson Goes Unclaimed and Outrighted to AAA

This young man generated 17 pages of content here upon being claimed off waiver assignment by the Rangers earlier this year.

 

Similarly, he was recently designated for assignment by the Rangers. This time, he did not get claimed and has been assigned outright to AAA. The Twins could have had him back free of charge for a 40-man roster spot.

And this is exactly what we said would happen. Frankly, I doubt he gets it together enough to stick on a major league roster.
