When I was there earlier in the month, I asked Adam Walker about Murphy as they were teammates at Jacksonville for three years. He praised him a lot. Maybe I'll get those quotes and put them here in the comments.

I saw him in I think it was his 2nd game for the Kernals. He was playing RF in that game and made some real long runs after fly balls. He didn't let up, even though the score was lopsided.

 

My take away impression on Murphy was he wasn't going to be out-hustled by anyone else on the team.
