Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Yesterday was a great example of why this bullpen is going to be a problem this season. A couple of close losses, but hardly the end of the world. The Twins still look competitive. Patzky Old-Timey Member Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Keep Shelty in the dugout to make the bullpen calls lol! The Mets are in a death spiral right now.. the Twins are coming to town.. something gotta give. Let's go in with a win! (Ober always seems to get excellent run support lately.)
Patzky Old-Timey Member Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Wallner's last stand? Perk up boys. It'll be warmer in NY.
HarmonK03 Verified Member Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Can we please be done with forcing Clemens into the lineup, he should be the 13th man on the bench not a regular at 1B. Linus 1
HarmonK03 Verified Member Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Now Wallner has been scratched and Outman is in the lineup. What does Martin have to do to get more playing time. This obsession with platoon is over the top, I get it for some players, but it appears this is the main criteria for playing decisions. Patzky 1

Per Bobby N: Matt Wallner was scratched from today’s Twins lineup. Rib discomfort from when he was hit by a pitch Friday. James Outman will start in right field.

Martin is as close to a sure bet to have a productive at bat as we have thelanges5 and Hosken Bombo Disco 2

He has earned the right to play every day at least until someone better beats him out but right now that player is not on the 26 man roster. Patzky 1

shortround81 Verified Member Posted April 19 Posted April 19 I blame these guys. I hope they get annulled. Also, if your spouse-to-be isn't at the game with you, do you really wanna through with the ceremony??

mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Hey Perk, you want Larnach to get more playing time , buy him a 1b glove ?? has Larnach ever been asked to even try it ? same with Wallner , both are way to slow and athletic to be every day outfielders,
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Last year I observed that Gladden had actually improved with Spanish-language names, which should be pretty low-hanging fruit to improve. But today we have "Yu-hen-i-way" Suarez playing for the Reds. As a positive, today is the first time I've heard "Caratini" rather than "Carantini."

His glove is not that special to make up for his lack of offense. I would prefer we get 13 players up here that can play rather than worrying about a specialist. Especially one who is not that strong in his specialty.
