Yesterday was a great example of why this bullpen is going to be a problem this season. A couple of close losses, but hardly the end of the world. The Twins still look competitive.

Keep Shelty in the dugout to make the bullpen calls lol!

The Mets are in a death spiral right now.. the Twins are coming to town.. something gotta give. Let's go in with a win!

(Ober always seems to get excellent run support lately.)

Can we please be done with forcing Clemens into the lineup, he should be the 13th man on the bench not a regular at 1B.

Now Wallner has been scratched and Outman is in the lineup.  What does Martin have to do to get more playing time.  This obsession with platoon is over the top, I get it for some players, but it appears this is the main criteria for playing decisions.

Wallner's last stand?

Perk up boys. It'll be warmer in NY.

Per Bobby N:

Matt Wallner was scratched from today’s Twins lineup. Rib discomfort from when he was hit by a pitch Friday.

James Outman will start in right field.

Martin is as close to a sure bet to have a productive at bat as we have

And yet they refuse to play him against RH pitching.  He has earned the right to play every day at least until someone better beats him out but right now that player is not on the 26 man roster.

Was hoping Zoll would be a little different, but this Org likes to drag out an IL decision and run short.

Outman over Martin? Sometimes I think they make decisions in an effort to raise my blood pressure.

I have no confidence they would do that. That would be my preference.

Either one would be better, I meant Gabriel Gonzalez.  But either is more hopeful than outman.

It’s almost as if Rocco is making the decision

Bring up Gabriel!

Why, there are two or three better options that should be called up first.

Outman is here for his glove, none of the rookie fielders have glove work any better than Wallner.

Let's be honest, at the plate he is due for his first hit of 2026. Today is a good day for it.

Hey Perk, you want Larnach to get more playing time ,  buy him a 1b glove ??  has Larnach ever been asked to even try it ?  same with Wallner , both are way to slow and athletic to be every day outfielders,

Last year I observed that Gladden had actually improved with Spanish-language names, which should be pretty low-hanging fruit to improve.

But today we have "Yu-hen-i-way" Suarez playing for the Reds. As a positive, today is the first time I've heard "Caratini" rather than "Carantini."

This ump crew hasnt been one of the best.

On the radio there was an audible "Oooh" after the pitch on Clemens was overturned. Atteberry said it was actually the home plate ump reacting to his own miss! 😀

His glove is not that special to make up for his lack of offense.  I would prefer we get 13 players up here that can play rather than worrying about a specialist.  Especially one who is not that strong in his specialty.
