Patzky Old-Timey Member Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Guess they will have to push Abel for 100 pitches tonight..

One wonders whether they are pushing the challenge system and then calling their own zone. On the other hand, the umpires are cold too. These things get cleared up once the weather becomes reasonable. Interesting. The radio announcers are convinced this is ture but I am not so sure. Western SD Fan 1

RpR Verified Member Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Can players wear a glove, not fielding glove, other than when batting. Having sleeting snow landing on their bare hands, would be discomforting.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Twins should go back to playing 2 weeks on the west coast before playing home 😉

The announcers keep quoting the stats from the minors last year. We will see as the year goes on. Even many of the misses have been less than 1" off, which I believe is allowed when the umpires are being graded on their strike zone. Hosken Bombo Disco 1
thelanges5 Verified Member Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Twins face 2 more lefties next week with Detroit. Skubal and Valdez Patzky 1
RpR Verified Member Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Not that the Twins are headed that way, but has a major league team, ever fielded , during a game, an entire team at or below the Mendoza line?
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Rogers in top 5. Gonna be a long bullpen day

Glad to hear the close ones are not used against the umpires. Those challenges on hairline misses are not in the spirit of the game.. but I always lose that argument to the letter of the law people, so.... 🙂 Western SD Fan 1

I’m not super interested in defending Outman, but spotting him against a lefty (Because of the Buxton injury) isn’t setting him up for any possible success.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 5 Posted April 5 at least the Twins are controlling the running game /s

This will sort of accomplish what you’re talking about.

Western SD Fan Verified Member Posted April 5 Posted April 5 This may not be what the fans want to hear. If the game gets anymore out of hand, you can burn Kent or Funderburk to save the rest of the bullpen. Kent still does have one option left.

Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Absolutely no chance any of our “1B” would have scooped that throw Aranda just did for Tampa.
