Caffrey’s Brings the Buffet to the 2025 Winter Meltdown

We're an independent site that provides independent coverage, hosts an independent event, and serves independent craft beer. So, how about we partner with the premier independently owned deli and sub shop for the Winter Meltdown? That's a good idea. 

Caffrey's Deli and Subs will be providing a buffet of their excellent subs for just $10 apiece at the Winter Meltdown on Saturday, 1/25, from 4-7 PM. You'll be hungry (and thirsty) after TwinsFest. For just $10, Caffrey's will bring a table full of the best-selling subs, including the Middle-Class Sub, the Lake Street Italian, the PC, and their pasta and potato salad. 

 

It could not be more convenient. You'll just stroll less than a block away from Target Field to Underground Music Venue, eat some Caffrey's subs, sip on a couple of free craft beers from BlackStack Brewing, listen to Aaron Gleeman and John Bonnes interview our special Twins guests (announced next week), talk Hot Stove with other Twins fans, and go home with our 2025 Winter Meltdown Pint glass…

 

…which we'll unveil tomorrow! Brock Beauchamp's annual designs originally featured winter activities but have evolved to comment on the Twins' previous season, whether successful or rough. They have become collector items, but you can only get one at the Meltdown. 

 

What will it be this year? Stop by tomorrow to see, but first, DO NOT WAIT to grab your tickets. The Winter Meltdown is an absolute no-brainer for any Twins fan, which is why we've had as many as 600 guests some years. Securing one with only 200 tickets available this year won't be easy. Your best bet is to become (or know) a Twins Daily Caretaker because we care for our Caretakers since they take care of Twins Daily. 

As a Caretaker, you'll receive one free ticket to the Meltdown and the option to purchase up to three additional tickets for just $20 each. If we have any leftover tickets (we did not last year, and it looks like we won't this year), we'll sell them to the general public for $60 apiece.
