They are paying Vasquez $10,000,000 to be a part time catcher that can't hit much. If they trade Castro it's clear they are trying to strip payroll to make it easier to sell the team and could care less about winning.

Maybe my memory isn't good but other than Lopez I can't think of any recent trades that have gone well for the Twins.
