With the full knowledge that Boston will be using a lefty more no more than an inning or two, Rocco chose Jeffers and Castro over Larnach and Kirilloff. I very much doubt Jeffers or Castro will be hit for. One of the lefties could hit for Miranda later. I suppose Farmer could hit for Julien.

Pablo Lopez is definitely the #1 starter for the Twins. There're times he looks unbeatable.  And yet he still seems to have that 1 rocky inning. Eliminate that and he's as good anyone.

I could do without the double-clutch by Julien on routine grounders like that last one, but at this stage of his career I still prefer that to the mild case of yips he used to have when there was enough time to think.

According to the Red Sox mlb site, they have used the only two left handers on the pitching staff. I doubt they would hit for Jeffers, but if they are behind the next time Martin is due at the plate, a lefty hitter should pinch hit.

Seemed like he started out slow last year too - he had a 4.00 ERA at this time in 2023, not too far off from his current 4.38.
