John Bonnes Site Manager Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 The stakes are high this offseason, and some big decisions loom before the real work begins. Every year, Twins Daily's Offseason Handbook starts with the Twins' Back-of-the-Napkin Payroll Analysis because we believe it provides the structure within which the Twins' front office makes its offseason decisions. Without it, every crazy idea is on the table. With it, we can see the impact and limits of player decisions. We've even taken this further, allowing you to make the same individual player decisions with our Payroll Blueprint. But this year, the fundamental value of that analysis is called into question because before the player decisions can be made, two huge decisions will need to be made. Without knowing their answers, every more minor decision is in question. Or, at the very least, you'll need to plan on multiple blueprints in case the team goes in a different direction. Let's go through them. You can get the rest of this story in the first installment of Twins Daily's Offseason Handbook below, if you're a caretaker. We'll be publishing a second and third installment over each of the next two Mondays that give you everything you need to play Twins' GM and build your 2024 roster, including list of the Twins' top free agent targets and their likely contracts. Plus, you get great other perks, like a free ticket to our Winter Meltdown and other deep-dive content throughout the season and offseason. Sign up here and get your Handbook immediately! Cory Engelhardt Verified Member Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 The good/decent news with regards to tv contracts is that the rest of MLB, or at least the majority of it, is also dealing with this right now.
MGM4706 Verified Member Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 Wish they would quit saying the Bally Contract is holding everything up. Every team that has renewed their contracts or found new providers have seen at least a 20% increase. So Twins know that whoever gets the the rights it will be more than the last contract. So quit with the Bally excuse! Doctor Gast 1
