Considering the lack of hitting prospects at New Britain right know, Jeff Smith and the coaching staff have done a nice job with the Rock Cats.

He is a polished college arm lighting up Hi A, which is what he probably should be doing.

 

From scouting reports I think there is reason to question whether he has enough fastball to succeed in the bigs.

Anybody else wonder if Walker could get a promotion before Buxton? I am just throwing it out there. His age is the main thing for me. Would like to see what he can do against more advanced competition.

Another Hermson? Tonight at least he got some strikeouts. I'd love to see more pitchers emerge, but what I'd like to see most is power arms.

Has Pinto earned a promotion to Rochester? He should be a candidate for mid-season All-Star honors. I know he's splitting his time between C and DH, but he has really hit well.

The kid is only 21 years old. He won't be 22 until late October. What's the rush. If he makes it to the Show at 25 instead of 24 will that be so bad. He was one of the 5 youngest college players in the whole draft last year. Let him get there and stay there. NO RUSH
