Red Bull Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 I'm in! I usually ask a slew of questions, some as me, others as alter-egos to increase the chance they're answered Haha I thought I was the only one...

Darren Wolfson @DarrenWolfson34sMike Radcliff on P Jonathan Gray & his positive Adderall test: "Still a player you're considering and have a lot of interest in." #mntwins Also: @kileymcd: Just swapped emails w/2 directors in the top 5 picks & advisor of #1 pick candidate. All have no idea what the Astros will do. Crazy quiet.

All have no idea what the Astros will do. Crazy quiet. Nice info. I'm not surprised that they expect to take more pitchers than hitters in the first 10 rounds. Pitching is the strength of the draft. What I'm wondering is where they are going to get their catcher. They have made it clear they are going to grab one and prep catchers is a strength of the draft.
cmb0252 Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2013 Author Posted June 5, 2013 Interesting article from BA about how teams used their money last year. Astros took Correa way under slot to clear money while the Jays only played their 5th-10th round picks a combined $31,000! The red Sox and cubs signed kids for $1,000 so they could spend it else where. Don't have to take McGuire at #4 to have money to spend else where. Hopefully they can get him at a good price.

Wow Dominic Smith? Really? That seems ridiculous to me but what do I know.
cmb0252 Provisional Member Posted June 6, 2013 Author Posted June 6, 2013 Wow Dominic Smith? Really? That seems ridiculous to me but what do I know. It is no more ridiculous as us taking McGuire. Most experts have smith higher than McGuire
InfraRen Provisional Member Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 I've grown so fond of Stewart that I'd almost be a bit disappointed if we passed on him for Bryant. I know Bryant will be solid, but.... Also, I doubt this really happens.
clutterheart Verified Member Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 I saw a Mock that went:Stewart #1Gray #2Appel #3Bryant to the Twins I have to admit as much as I like Bryant and I want them to go after the BPA, I was disappointed. I am hoping for a pitcher...
jaspatrick Verified Member Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 I think Bryant and Appel go somewhere in the top three along with another college hitter. Then we take Stewart over Gray, which will displease some on here and make others happy. I'm not sure which camp I fall into.
