Yeah the errors were unfortunate. However... The passed ball was clearly a cross up. New battery combo... It happens.

Joe was clearly expecting the ball to break and it didn't.

A lot of people have picked the Tigers to win the AL, and they have a murderer's row of hitters. Maybe it's the cold weather, but maybe the Twins pitching is a lot better than expected?

Too soon to tell... The Starters just need to avoid looking like Blackie, Liriano, and Marquis from last year.

They can absolutely do that in my opinion.

The pitching has been a pleasant surprise so far, but it's waaaaaay too early to get excited about any of them, just like it's too early to worry about Hicks or Parm.

Wouldn't mind seeing The Mastro get a start in CF, just to give Hicks a breather since he's clearly pressing.

I like bringing in Deunsing now -- Pelfrey was at 96 pitches and considering his TJ surgery, this makes sense to me.

Mauer should change his last name to power as in warning track power.
or maybe this is baseball.
Sure is nice to have teams best hitter in the 3 spot!

If all you're going to do is whine about Mauer, at least put it all in the same post. The "Edit Post" function is your friend.

Depends on your definition of excited. Is anyone a lock for Cy Young? No. Does the prospect of a suddenly-watchable team loom on the horizon? That excites me.

Big chance for Parmelee to kickstart his season. If they had brought in a LH, I have to wonder if they would have gone to Wilkin Ramirez.

boy...

Parmelee is struggling

I am not ready to even consider giving up on him, but I would not mind seeing him get a day off and let Mastro take his place tomorrow.

I agree. I understand it is early but the fact he is not putting hardly anything in play upsets me. I would like to see him get the day off tomorrow as well.

Can Mastro cover for two struggling outfielders at once?

Big strikeout of Hunter there. They can walk Miggy and pitch to Fielder to set up the double play.

Hunter strikes out on three pitches with runners in scoring position....ahhh, memories! Was strike three in the dirt??? :)

A pitching change would also be nice.

I need to check with RiverBrian to determine whether Fielder has the wheels to upset this strategy.

He could play RF tomorrow and CF on Saturday, if Hicks is still struggling.

The best thing Tyler Robertson has going for him (other than being left handed) is that he's absolutely monstrous looking.

So glad they took him out after the Fielder K. Good job, TRob.

I could joke that if he's good enough to play every day he should be a starter, but actually I think he can be one of the better 4th outfielders in the league and such usage isn't ridiculous.
