GCTF Verified Member Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Home................run? Does not compute.
Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Just tried to compare minor league stats for Florimon and Escobar, and my goodness they are similar. Escobar's two years younger, Florimon's been at bit better at taking a walk, but otherwise they seem virtually identical with the bat and on the bases.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 After three innings we got us a new game... Hopefully this new game will include better Twins defense.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Hammer on pace for 54 homers. In all seriousness, the ball must really be dead in the air. That homer didn't clear by much and was hit on the screws.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Glunn, Very similar approach and results as KC yesterday.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 I love the first week of baseball... Free MLB extra innings... Between innings I can turn over to any game and I just had a question/thought. Is it possible to watch Lucas Duda bat without Camp Town Races coming into your head?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Pelfrey is looking sharp? He's doing his job my friend.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Plouffe... There is #1 of 34 this year.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 4, 2013 Author Posted April 4, 2013 Hey, everybody! Let's party like it's June of 2012!
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 4, 2013 Author Posted April 4, 2013 He's doing his job my friend. He's done well enough. As odd as it is to say, he doesn't look as good as Correia did yesterday.

ShaeTwins Provisional Member Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Nice game so far. Pelfrey pitching well, some good home runs. Let's knock Porcello out now!
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 He's done well enough. As odd as it is to say, he doesn't look as good as Correia did yesterday. It's that low expectation thing of mine... All I want is for our starters to keep us in the game. We are in the game!
ShaeTwins Provisional Member Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Pelfrey has come back from Tommy John surgery in just less than 11 months, is hitting 92-93 on his sinker, getting ground balls, and pretty much showing great control. No strikeouts, but did we expect any? I'd say that "sharp" is an apt definition.
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Before long Gardy will probably move Hicks down in the order til he catches on. Swap spots with 2nd base probably.
buckninetyone Provisional Member Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 brandon maurer is joe's other drunk brother.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Home runs are so elegant. Prety. Efficient. Effective. They are the epitome of elegance.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Pelfsie needs a dp to last another inning.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 4, 2013 Author Posted April 4, 2013 It's that low expectation thing of mine... All I want is for our starters to keep us in the game. We are in the game! Hey, I'm not complaining. So far, so good.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Before long Gardy will probably move Hicks down in the order til he catches on. Swap spots with 2nd base probably. Fine by me to put Hicks in the 9 hole if his woes continue -- but only as long as Carroll is starting a batting #1.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Hey, I'm not complaining. So far, so good. lol... I was pretty sure you weren't. Zero earned runs not warming the heart would be a real cold heart.
glunn Community Moderator Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 He's doing his job my friend. Thanks. It also appears from what I can see that he is not getting good defense -- 2 errors and a passed ball.
