I was thinking that, but still. Glad he produced. The SS position has produced more RBIs than any other position (I believe).

Good things from Pelfrey, Plouffe, Parmalee, Hicks, and Roenicke. Great to see.

Also nice to see Mauer and Morneau hitting well to start the year. I know it's a super small sample size but seeing Morneau with only 1 K and 3 BB should tell you he's seeing the ball well. I'm especially happy though with the pitching and seeing clutch hitting with Escobar, Floriman and power from Plouffe and Willingham. A dream start to the year is right. Much better than I thought they were going to start.

I'm not ready to change predictins based on 3 games but I like what I've seen of this team so far. Surprisingly, three good pefermances from the starters and none of them were Diamond. The Twins exposed the Tigers BP issues some as well.

 

All-in-all, can't complain.

 

Would liked to see more out of Hicks but he had a nice final AB.

All of a sudden, the schedule to start the season looks managable. Every one is 1-2 or 2-1, and we get to play KC, the Marlins, the Mets, and the dredded White Sox after the Orioles. We have an outside shot at .500 (or dare I say, a little better for April). It helps when we don't start the season against the Yankees, Toronto and Boston.

Yeah, well get Baltimore's 4th and 5th starter to start the series, then the middle of the KC rotation. So, getting out of the Tigers series with 2 wins looks good right now.
