Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2021 Author Posted August 24, 2021 That 1979 team was in 1st place in late May, only 2 GB on September 1st, and tied for 2nd and only 3 GB with a week to go on September 22. A 6 game losing streak sealed their fate at that point, but that sounds like a forgotten pennant race in Twins history.
