Young: Vikings' Bradbury Rushed To Watch Former Teammate Bailey Ober Make MLB Debut

This is a really fun article from Lindsay Young on Vikings.com. I know I messaged Bailey when the Vikings took Bradbury to verify that they went to the same high school. Ober responded that Bradbury was his catcher... and Bradbury was really good at baseball too. 

Bradbury has now been starting the past couple of years for the Vikings and recently bought a place in Minnesota. When he got the text about Ober making his debut, he rushed to make sure he got there for it.

"It was awesome to see someone who I played with now in the big leagues," Bradbury said. "I'm so happy for him and his family. It's just awesome."

Two high school friends, two Carolina colleges, and now two Minnesota pro teams.

"It's crazy to think about," laughed Ober. "We definitely wouldn't have thought that this would be a possibility back when we were 16 and 17 years old, I can tell you that."

Also of note, Bradbury's wife's younger brother is RHP Jackson Kowar, a top pitching prospect with the Royals - who also played on those same high school teams...
