howeda7 Verified Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Oh stop it, no one is “hoping” for a loss but you’d be a darn fool to “want the Yankees”. They’re a better club even without the almost 20 year curse. Call me crazy but I’d like to see a playoff win, haven’t seen one since before I got my driver’s license. My patience has grown as thin as my hair. We match up better with the White Sox or even the rays. I guess that makes one a coward Or a bad fan.This. The Yankees are the best team in the AL Not wanting to have to face them in the 1st round is simply logical, curse aside.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Indians lost. Darn. Amazing to see so many teams just not losing. Finishing strong
howeda7 Verified Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Sano the last seven games: 2/23 with 12 strikeouts. 087/087/348
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 This. The Yankees are the best team in the AL Not wanting to have to face them in the 1st round is simply logical, curse aside. Had opportunities to do it ourselves by winning that White Sox series. Totally blew it.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 I would be more likely to spend money at Pizza Ranch if they had different commercials. I picture 30 seconds with their logo on the screen with a spokesperson saying something like this: "We are Pizza Ranch. We hope you patronize our restaurants because we buy advertising on Twins games." That would be better than seeing the same bad spots they've been showing for the past few years.
howeda7 Verified Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Kepler last seven games: 2/20 .100/.182/100
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Twins just look like they're going through the motions. Hopefully the playoffs will spark some life into the team.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 The complete inability for the twins to put together an actual inning with multiple hits and runs is shocking. 10 of their last 12 runs have come off of home runs.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Kepler last seven games: 2/20 .100/.182/100 Rocco: "Middle of the lineup material!"

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Hopefully there's no health related reasons for Gardy's sudden retirement.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Kepler last seven games: 2/20 .100/.182/100STOP!!!
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Light crowd here tonight. Probably the complainers keeping folks away
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Hopefully there's no health related reasons for Gardy's sudden retirement. My thoughts as well. I think there are definite short-term health issues, but I hope there are no longer-term problems
howeda7 Verified Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Hopefully there's no health related reasons for Gardy's sudden retirement. He said it was for health reasons. Hopefully not too serious.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Didn't realize that the Tigers had both Gardenhire and McClendon. A lot of ejection memories there

You said it yesterday too., so you stop and I will too
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Way to work out of it, Big Mike!
howeda7 Verified Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 STOP!!!OK. To summarize: every Twin not named Buxton last seven days: 2/2x ~.100/.100/.100
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 The complete inability for the twins to put together an actual inning with multiple hits and runs is shocking. 10 of their last 12 runs have come off of home runs. I'll go one better for ya -- 27 of the last 30 runs have been on dingers.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 I'll go one better for ya -- 27 of the last 30 runs have been on dingers. That can’t be true
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 OK. To summarize: every Twin not named Buxton last seven days: 2/2x ~.100/.100/.100
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Tight zone for this ump. Outside of a pitch or two, the zone has been consistent. Pineda has only fanned one, but he's surviving.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Bad luck, but it would have been a DP anyway, unless it hit him and bounced away.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 The complete inability for the twins to put together an actual inning with multiple hits and runs is shocking. 10 of their last 12 runs have come off of home runs. If the Twins scored the same number of runs in the last week on only singles and doubles there would be concerns expressed that we weren't hitting enough home runs.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Hopefully the whole last third of the Twins' lineup tonight is gone next year
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 If the Twins scored the same number of runs in the last week on only singles and doubles there would be concerns expressed that we weren't hitting enough home runs.Possibly, but home runs are fickle. It’s concerning to see an entire offense struggle to even get on base.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 If the Twins scored the same number of runs in the last week on only singles and doubles there would be concerns expressed that we weren't hitting enough home runs. And those complaints would be valid, too.
