That was a nice play by their CF.

It was no doubt... But... Kepler was more shocking. What was he doing?

Go to the bag and tag. If he doesn't think he can make it... Fine... stay on the bag then and it accomplishes the same thing. By not going back to bag... he eliminated the possibility of tagging and scoring. (which I think he would have).

What was Kepler thinking and was the third base coach watching, telling him to get back, yelling, screaming or simply watching the play assuming Kepler would go back to the bag like a well coached high school player would do.

Cost us a run... that may come in handy later.  :)

Agreed, but it seemed to me that he would likely have been thrown out even if he had tagged properly. The CF was ready to throw almost as soon as he caught it, and it was not deep.

Our starting pitchers really like to give up 3 runs in an inning, and then not give up any runs in the rest of the innings they pitched. Gibson and Pineda have this down to an art at this point.

And Laureano has a good arm... But... Kepler isn't slow and Laureano had to go down to the ground to make the catch... pop up and make the throw which I assume would have given Kepler enough space to cross the plate.

We will never know because Kepler didn't go back to the bag.  :)

They should teach this specific art to Fiers... RIGHT NOW!!!

Nice breaking pitches by Gibson to end the inning. Now we need runs.

Man, Gibby being Gibby (sometimes Gibby being Nibby), but I gotta give him credit for toughing it out through 6, and keeping the team in the game.

A thousand pitches, but he's earned this quality start.

give Gibson credit, he made it through 6.

And, he did pitch an inning of relief this year.

Wasn't a stellar performance but Gibson found a way to get the job done.

Might actually end up getting jobbed a bit here according to the a’s announcers. Might be first and second and not second and third

Yeh, but at least bluff and draw a throw- on the off chance he uncorks a wild one. Make the guy make the play, Ffs.

For God's sake, why does a guy with Usain Bolt-level speed not know how to get a damn bunt down?

Just pathetic.
