notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 I like when they have an opening montage. It makes the game feel important and I feel like all sports used to do this more often.

ashbury Verified Member Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Long top of the first. Too many chances to make plays, that didn't pan out.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2018 Author Posted September 30, 2018 Figures Joe would choose Rocky for his walk up music #ego#notreally

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Whoa. Now that was a blast from Kepler.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Hildenberger's in. I'm worried now. EDIT ADD: And I walk away from the computer for 15 seconds and a run's in with two on, no outs. Need Rogers, stat.
mickeymental Verified Member Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 maybe astudillo can pitch?
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Because, he’s Taylor Rogers and you are not.
glunn Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Mauer's last career at bat?
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2018 Author Posted September 30, 2018 Wow
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2018 Author Posted September 30, 2018 Here it comes...
jimmer Verified Member Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Mauer's last career at bat?Be a nice last career PA!
glunn Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 That made me a little misty eyed.
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 I think it is time for him to retire - but damn - I am kind of sad.... (and feel old). Glad he was able to get in one last double. The crowd sounds very supportive on the radio. Back to the pregame -- the moment with his twin girls at first base was a nice moment.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2018 Author Posted September 30, 2018 Thought they might bring out Mauer there, but letting him watch for a bit from second base is nice, too.

He's acting like he is.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Damn it. I missed it

glunn Community Moderator Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 I think that the time is right for Joe to retire.
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 I think that the time is right for Joe to retire. Yes - I think technically he still has talent to be on a team, but since the last concussion I have been thinking it might be time to step down. Plus, I think the Twins need to fully embrace the rebuild mode (again - still) and play the younger players of the future. I think there are teams where he would be a good fit, but he really only wants to be a Twin. At least Joe's last game has had some dramatic moments. Hopefully he will end his career with a victory over the White Sox -- the big rival fora number of his seasons.
