dukie034 Verified Member Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 Does anyone have any information on when the roster & schedule will be available? It appears that everyone else's rosters have been released and the Twins don't appear on anyone's schedules.
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 I've heard from a couple of people that the Twins will NOT have an instructional league team... However, they will bring players in throughout the offseason for more one-on-one instruction and skill development focus rather than have them play another set of 25-30 games after a long season. I don't think this have been formally announced in any way...
Rosterman Verified Member Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 Interesting. I always wondered about the minor league camp. Do players get room and board in the dorm while they get instruction? Are the games more pickup than regular competition, in some ways. Actually, what is the policy. Can players train at Ft. Myers year 'round if they choose?
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 Here is the Twins "instructional League roster", but as you can see, no games scheduled... and no pitchers. https://www.mlb.com/news/twins-instructional-league-roster-schedule/c-295366438?tcid=tw_article_295366438
