NoCal Provisional Member Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 In today's Baseball Prospectus, Ben Lindbergh writes a fascinating comparison of the way that the Oakland A's and the Tampa Bay Rays have succeeded this year. Very relevant to the Twins - especially the difficulty and high cost of finding pitching success thru free agency. beckmt Verified Member Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 That is why the Twins need to make a deal this offseason with a pitching rich, hitting poor club. You can win with great pitching and so-so hitting. You cannot win with bad pitching or a horrible defense(which is why I expect Detroit to fail early if they even make the playoffs)
