Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Well at least our replacement players can hit.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Ullger doin what he did best as 3rd base coach....hold a runner @ 3rd who was off with the pitch, & throw was way off line with a punch/judy hitting Carroll up next.Man he's a great coach wherever you put him. I don't know.... have you seen Doumit run? Between Thome and him I don't know who wins a 50 meter dash. Really. Besides which, Doumit couldn't have been "off with the pitch.". Runners on second and third.

Maybe Thome, Doumit, Willingham, and Morneau can suit up in the costumes and do the "Race Around Target Field." That would be fun to watch and would probably require some oxygen masks!
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Twice Coomer has tried to chalk up Blackburns extreme hittability to "luck,". Both times Bremer has slapped him down. I'm both shocked and impressed, and wouldn't you know it, I'm apparently the only person anywhere still watching this crapfest.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Fine Coomer, the guy is just unlucky then. Permanently unlucky.
edavis0308 Provisional Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 The ineptitude is actually pretty good tv with a few cheap beers.
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Nice to see Plouffe finally break that 0 for 14 skid after coming off the DL.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Plouffesy gets hit first hit back from the DL, hooray!
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Good heads up baserunning play by Plouffe.

But with the score 5-1 and an early AM tee time, I can't go on. BTW, I noticed that Bremer was critical of Blackburn or at least honest, continuing to emphasize the lack of ground balls and acknowledging the poor results. My thought was that Bremer had the word that he could throw Blackburn under the bus and Coomer missed the memo. G 'night.
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Vote for Pedro! Nice grab there Florimon!! Covers far more ground going out than Willingham can coming in. Good hustle!
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Florimonsey has a nice ring to it, don't you think?
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Nice quick for inning for the Fiend. Let's see if we can mount a late night comeback!!!
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Nice jack, Joe. Maybe Willingham can follow it up!
snepp Verified Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Nice jack, Joe. Maybe Willingham can follow it up! Nice.
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Josh comes through with a smash. It's starting to get interesting.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Whoa, power for Mauer? Well, actually, Prior provided most of the power on both those jacks, but it sure was nice to see that elevated swing from Joe.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Going back to Florimonsy's awesome grab, I'll say that having him at short, with his range, really helps with having Hammer in LF with his range.

I'd like to see a few more chances going left and right and see some tests of his arm strength and accuracy, but, so far so good.
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Doumit trying to hit one to Moses Lake.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 How long do you keep running Blackburn out there?
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Doumit trying to hit one to Moses Lake. I'm really surprised he's as close to .300 as he is with the way he swings.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 How long do you keep running Blackburn out there? As long as it takes. Don't know that it matters at all at this point and he's getting paid no matter. Maybe the shame will force him into retirement, saving us the money next year. I was hoping this was the Nishioka strategy as well.
