John Bonnes Site Manager Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Aaron and John talk about the Twins' trade deadline, including moves that were made (Brandon Kintzler, Jaime Garcia) and moves that weren't (Ervin Santana, Brian Dozier), all while gorging themselves at Iron Door Pub. twinfan Verified Member Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 The Twins did what they had to do by trading two players they could lose after the season. If they wish to trade Dozier (a mistake) and Santana (not sure about this), the off-season would bring them more of what they need. Funny that neither trade brought in any offense which is what they need. They are (close to) last in runs scored, nobody knows how to move runners over and they are horrible with runners in scoring position.

They are 13th of 15 in earned runs against. They need both, sure, but they need pitching worse.
