DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 Daytona week baby! The duels are tonight, should be entertaining. For the 500 itself, it's hard to handicap, but I think Keselowski is by far the car to beat, as long as he can eliminate stupid pit road issues he should be able to stay in the top 10 and out of the muck most of the day to give him a great shot at the win. He by far was the best car last weekend.Any thoughts on the new "heat" style points system? I really like it personally, it makes the middle of the race that much more entertaining as guys will be doing all they can for positions before the segment breaks. The "purists" of course are bitching about it, but glad to see NASCAR evolving...unlike Baseball...
bluechipper Provisional Member Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 The points changes are getting to be too much, but I'm open minded about it. It could be fun. As for the 500, I'll take Denny Hamlin because the Gibbs cars working together could be tough to beat. I'm also interested to see what effect Monster is going to have.
