Kihle has put up solid numbers since returning from the DL. In 37 AB he's hitting 297/395/351

SSS for sure but very similar OBP and OPS as last year. Not a guy showing a lot of power but a very solid contributer. He has scored 11 runs to go with his 11 hits...

May 20 Minor league hitter of the day: 2 Home Runs, 6 RBIs will do that for you.

Now at 280/362/440 (802) in 50 ABs

While his numbers are similar to before, they are slipping in the slugging department. His slash of 281/348/364 in 121 at bats his slugging has slipped 80 points dropping his OPS 90 points. He has not homered since our last update. Daniel has struck out 37 times to 10 walks.

Killed has spent 2/3 of his time in LF splitting the rest of his time fairly evenly between center and Right. His lone error was in Left and both of his double play assists in right field.

He has already matched last seasons total with 5 stolen bases off set by two caught stealing.

Kihle is batting 259/318/316 in 193 at bats for Cedar Rapids. With only 2 homers and 5 doubles,he has shown only limited power ( as shown by his slugging). He has 50 K's to 14 walks so there is some plate discipline to work on there. He has 5 of 7 successful steals. This is a lot of mediocrity to be honest but It has already been reported that he is being promoted to Fort Myers. Stats can only show so much and apparently he has shown enough for a move up the ladder.

His defensive stats are very good with only one error with most of his time coming in LF. Maybe this is where he showed the greatest readiness for Fort Myers.

Kihle has now had 57 at bats in Fort Meyers. His 228/318/316 slash is nothing to write home about but on the season he is at 252/318/316. Interesting side note, his CR, FM, and combined OPS are all at 634.

Kihle has a solid 983 fielding percentage. He committed his second error of the season in Fort Meyers where he has played mostly in Center Field. In Cedar Rapids, he was playing primarily Left. Interestingly enough, both errors have been in Left field.

Kihles final numbers:

259/352/370 in FM after 108 at bats.

259/318/316 in CR after 193 at bats.

Hey, the kid is consistent! I expect to see Kihle begin next season back in Fort Meyers. He is not putting up any eye opening numbers but he is providing a solid glove and consistent middle of the road production. I predict similar to slightly better numbers with a midseason promotion to Chatanooga.
