my WAY TOO EARLY Prospect ranking update

   I know it's early and many of the top prospects haven't even started playing yet this summer, but with how bad the Twins are it's nice to think about the farm and see how things have changed down there!

 

   In January I made a personal list for Minnesota's top prospects and it went: 1) Buxton 2)Berrios 3)Kepler 4)Jay 5)Gordon 6)Polanco 7)Gonsalves 8)Walker 9)Thorpe 10)Stewart 11)Chargois 12)Burdi 13)Javier 14)Meyer 15)Jorge 16)Palacios 17) Vielma 18)Blankenhorn 19)Romero 20)Wade

 

One month into the year my list has already changed quite a bit. My new top 20 would go 1)Berrios 2)Kepler 3)Gordon 4)Gonsalves 5)Stewart 6)Jay 7)Polanco 8)Meyer 9)Chargois 10)Thorpe 11)Walker 12)Javier 13)Wade 14)Burdi 15)Vielma 16)Palka 17)Blankenhorn 18)Romero 19)Rosario 20)Hildenberger

 

Probably too soon to make moves like this but I'm sold on a couple of these guys. LaMonte Wade has done nothing but hit. In 87 career games so far he has hit .315/.421/.498 with 57BBs to 44K's and also 15 for 18 in SB's. He should get the move up to FM very soon, in my opinion.

Another big mover here is Daniel Palka, the only thing setting him apart from a "better version of ABW" is his age for leagues he's played in. I am past thinking that now that i'm seeing him tear up AA also while being about league average in age, so I think his numbers are legit. .338/.424/.538 slash so far in about 100 PA's isn't something to look past.

 

Not many negatives dealing with the players on these lists except for the limited ABs for Kepler, and Burdi just getting his season started.

 

                I would say "Go Twins" here at the end, but I think at this point they might as well go for that first overall pick next year! lol

Hildenberger is an interesting add.  He is a guy I didn't think about too much but his numbers make him look like a nice bullpen candidate but I think I like a guy like Luis Arraez over him.
