Soft Toss Training Machine

Hello, in my class Engineering class for school we are suppose to make or improve something that is already out there. My partner and I are planning on designing a soft toss machine to help with hitting that can operate with just one person and go at their pace. I know not all of you play baseball but if anyone wants to help, we could use the help by taking this questionnaire:
