I was going to say how pathetic it is to have a 2 page game thread for a sunday...then I realized that's twice as many pages as the twins have hits.

 

Pretty embarrassing.

So you're saying...

 

If we commented more, they might have more hits?

The fact that this team STILL holds a wild card spot leaves me speechless. Today could be the day that spot is shared, as well it should be at this point after two months of mediocrity.

Too bad we're facing Iwakuma. He owns the Twins. How have we NEVER scored against this guy?

I think that shows the mediocrity of the league this year. Perhaps.

There is no reason Perkins should be in there right now, especially to face Cruz.  He is hitting .386 against lefties on the year.  Meanwhile you just traded for a guy who is very rough on right handed hitters........sigh.

I know the Mariners shouldn't have walked the winning run, but why oh WHY did Perk have to pitch to the winning run today??

8 innings 4 hits no runs for pelfrey. Turn the ball over to Perkins in the 9th, then with 2 outs he gives up a home run...
