Chattanooga Gets 7 Southern League All Stars

The Southern League announced its 2015 All Stars. Seven Minnesota Twins Prospects from the Chattanooga Lookouts roster have been named as All Stars.

• Adam Brett Walker
• Jorge Polanco
• Zack Jones
• DJ Baxendale

Wow, that's a lot of guys. Are there any other teams in the Southern League with that many selections?

DJ Baxendale? and not Max Kepler? Two years young for the league, plus a late start. And still- 14th in OPS (.827), 10th in XBH (21), 8th in SLG (.483) 2nd in doubles (16).

 

Seems like a miss.

There are probably rules about making sure every team is represented... Don't know.   They couldn't exactly send the whole team (even though I wonder if it could beat the other AA all stars).

Jeez, I looked at the list and thought Travis Harrison had a case for feeling slighted. Didn't even register with me initially that Kepler was left off, too. 

 

This team should probably have 9 All-Stars. How is Dougie M not winning every game down there?

I thought Harrison carried this team for most of the first 2 months.  He has since slipped in BA only.  I feel slighted for him more so than Kepler although Kepler had a crazy May.  Both could have made it in my opinion.  Jabari Blash from Jackson was hitting over .300 with 9 HRs but only played 30+ games.  I think both our guys have had a greater impact than Blash has on the season thus far, but that's All Star voting.  And I guess there is arguments both ways.
