jokin Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 I see that he closed out an unlikely come-back win by the Miracle tonight....and I have to admit, as he was seemingly lost in the shuffle of all the bullpen arms drafted over the last 2 years, I can only recall recognizing his name in passing over it from time to time in the box scores- and nothing about his prospect status. And yet, in looking deeper at his stats, what's not to love? Combined K% around 36%- K/9 nearly 13.0, BB% a little over 5%- BB/9 2.0, IFFB% rate= 14%, WHIP 0.99 FIP 1.00. Can someone fill me in on his projectability? Is this 2 years of smoke and mirrors, or is this guy soon ready to jump yet another level?
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 I'm with you Jokin. With all the recent draftees and overall depth in talent, I also have overlooked this kid. Not much of a track record after a short time in CR last season and a half season in Ft Myers, but the numbers look great.
