Well played. Was going to go with a Restaurant at the End of the Universe ref earlier.

Dozier's been great on the base paths this season, even better than last year. BsR backs that up. His instincts have gotten so good that it's hard for me to find fault with his tendency to be a little aggressive at times, especially with instances like that one where the Twins have the lead and there are two out. Not a big deal.

That said, not doing it again would be good.

I'm on board with Dozier. There is a lot more to be concerned about than Dozier...like our pitching?

Expedia says that there's a 6:21 am departure from ROC tomorrow morning...

Just sayin.

It actually wasn't a bad idea. Once he sees Santana go... It's a pretty good assumption the throw goes to third. It probably would have been a bigger mistake fir Santana to gain third and Dozier staying at first.

The Brewers executed... Hats off to them.

I think the proper play is to tag up, start to second, but stop if you can see the throw can be cut off. If the throw is high, or way off line, you keep going.

So frustrating, Corriea can give you 5 good innings, the bullpen has 37 rhp & their rested. Ugh

And Dick just said they sent Correia out for the sixth because we don't have 13 pitchers anymore? I miss the days with only 11 pitchers.

There is still a lot of baseball to play, and I am going to be able to eat restaurant dinners for the next 30+ days.

There is a connection between these two observations? "Life is good"?

I have no doubt that we will rally our arses off. Suzuki will figure into it somehow.

Geesh get Corriea out of there now, it cant be more obvious he's hit his wall.

Which is visible via Fox, and also from space via the NASA website,

But apparently not from the Twins dugout...

Exactly. With the kitchen demolished, my wife will not be cooking. And the Twins can still win this game. Both good things, but we just lost the potential double play.

6 thousand... If he had a nickel for every time he's posted he'd have... A bunch of nickels.

I just went to check pitch counts before the 6th inning and was disappointed when I saw that Correia was going to be brought out for another inning. That should not have happened. I have seen earlier this year that Hughes and Gibson were cruising through their starts and were taken out after around 90 pitches. I just can't follow the logic when it comes to sending a guy back out for the Twins. It's sporadic at best and it always leaves me second guessing. The 2 starts that Hughes and Gibson pitched were held up by the bullpens I believe, but it still doesn't make sense when put side by side with Correia's outtings...

Wife not cooking == life is good? Life is not good. :)

And now Caleb pitches 2/3 with 2 Ks no hits or walks just an error behind him and he is replaced.... baffled.

I recall going off on a rant--in a thread of it's own--last year over just such pitching moves. Struggling starter miraculously gets to the middle of the game with a lead, Gardy leaves him in to "save the bullpen."

Gardy ends up needing just as many outs from the bullpen, only now it's no longer with the lead.

It's just...frustrating.
