Hunter Greene - Why wouldnt this work?

Twins Video

Its interestng to see a player who could be drafted as a position player or a pitcher....Why dont we draft Greene, play him at 3b/ss and use him as a reliever as well? This would be a great boon to the roster, you wouldnt have to carry an extra pitcher, when you bring him into pitch, you insert your utility infielder....feedback please

And we are going to waste the first pick in the 2017 draft on a guy who would be used as utility reliever and infielder?   NO FREAKING WAY!  That kind of thinking is how a team ends up last place for a whole decade.

Maybe you dont understand,  He is one of the best players in the nation, likely to be picked in the top 5,  Not sure if he is higher rated as 3b, or Pitcher, but if its close, I still say its the perfect storm, if you can find another Twins pick like this, I would like to know about it.

Long time to go, but I would like to see the Twins take the highest rated college starter if he is rated to be a #1 or a #1/#2 type with stuff.

Twins window will be opening shortly and need to find extra good pitchers to be here no later than 2019(hopefully 2018)

I think baseball is closeminded about 2-way players. It could be worked out in some fashion. Its a hell of a boon to the roster if it works. If not, then you have a backup plan that doesn't have to start over from square one. Of course, by pitching you add some TJS risk etc.

But as far as drafting 1-1 goes, I hope they just take the Golden Spikes winner. Bryce Harper, David Price, Buster Posey, Kris Bryant, etc. are recent winners. That'd do.

So you're saying he's Huston Street.
