Why is Molitor so intent on playing other people at SS. Many of you have made the point way back that Escobar is the best SS we have.

 

Recently

Escobar walk off double

Nunez plays the next day (I was shocked)

 

First game against Orioles - Escobar doubles and homers

Nunez plays the next day

 

WTF? Now Molitor is even making excuses for his inexcusable decisions...Pre-Game Last night, we are going righty heavy lineup against this lefthander...THIS JUST IN..Escobar is a SWITCH HITTER! The righty of course was Nunez, otherwise the lineup was normal...

 

Please if you have any idea why the Head Psycho is doing this, PLEASE tel me!

I think Escobar should be starting. Have most of the year, if not all year. He's playing 2 out of 3 at this point, and I"m fine with that because Nunez has played well too.

From Molitor's perspective (with his head up his ass ) Nunez is a good SS.   :)

It's a shame we don't have an established SS. We have two utility IF who try to put a non-sticky bandaid on the position, which leaves us with no pop off the bench. I hope TR can get us the quality SS we need for the future or at least a decent stop gap and keep one of them as the utility guy--but please don't go shopping in Japan.
