ARod 5-9 against Perkins, Twins Coaches ignore

Twins Video

I did something I rarely do. I shut the game off. I watch on my computer so I have to take whatever feed I get.

I was watching the Yankees broadcast, their play by play guy reported the following. Mauer moved to first base because of knee problems, (said it twice) Sorry Yank fans, you show respect for one of the greatest players of our time, a three time batting champion, that was disgraceful! Then said about three times this was Perkins first blown save of the season...but thats not what made me mad.(he did eventually correct that)

Arod had already connected twice, true facing Milone is different from facing Perkins....Arod was 5-9 against Perkins with a homerun, Arod was hot....WHY COULDNT THE FRICKIN COACHING STAFF AT LEAST USED MAY AGAINST AROD? Thats what made me mad, when the guy hit the three run hr, I turned it off in disgust.

I think this was Molitors call, well Paul, you blew it. Did anyone not think Perkins was going to groove it, my chutzpah vs yours? BOOM!

The Twins deserved this loss, and Molitor deserves the credit.

Stats vs. a single batter be damned.  If Glen Perkins is your closer, you expect him to do the job.  Twins management has had his back for several years, making sure he gets all the easy save opportunities that present themselves.

Has anyone heard any current trade rumors for Perkins?  Not I.  Maybe there's a reason why.

BTW:  May against Alex Rodriquez??

Did you play baseball?  I dont mean that as an insult, if you did, you understand that  that righthanders  see lefthanded pitching much better, thats why I said, May against Arod....and in retrospect, I am very surprised to see you question that?  How is lefty against one of the greatest sluggers in the game, who was having a great game already work for you?  And thats not to mention the aforementioned stat, history vs Perkins.

I know Milone was pitching well but I wish they would have removed him before Arod's 2nd homer. I only say that in hindsight since I wasn't paying close attention at that point.

Perkins and Suzuki are cerebral guys. They need to be smarter than that last night. They threw him a thigh high fastball right down the middle. Perkins said he was surprised Arod swung at the first pitch. Weak excuse in my opinion.

Can you imagine the howling if May was left in and Rodriguez hits HR, Perkins is our closer, he had a rough outing, it happens, get over it!! Id much rather have Molitor than what we previously had.........and the Twins are one of the few teams above where people thought their teams would be, i can only imagine if you were fans of those teams you wouldnt like any of the managers. And i will let Molitor take credit for the wins we were not suppose to have up to this point , if he is asked to take the blame for this loss.

He had a one hitter going at that time.

I have no problem with Milone pitching to A-Rod in the 7th or Perkins facing A-Rod in the 9th.

I would say the problem I have was with the locations of those HR pitches. But pitchers make bad pitches... just like fielders make errors from time to time or hitters get out... it's the game.
