The two runs a game in ST WAS an indicator...

Twins Video

As much as us die hard fans want to believe, we tried to ignore the anemic offense produced in ST...but now the chickens are sitting on the eggs....

True enough....good hitting would not have saved the Tiger series...with our horrible pitching...Hughes 4 run effort now looks pretty good...

So when all this unfolds..we still have a .270 hitting first baseman with no power, we have a kid Vargas that I think is over matched and easily exposed....we have an outfielder at 10 million that is beyond the sunset of his career,

We have Arcia who has to be the friendliest player in the league..he waves at everything....

and one of the best players on the team sitting the bench...I asked in an earlier post can twins win without Escobar and a certain writer assured that they could..REALLY???

This team is very close to killing off what little fan base they have left.

I'll have to try to remember that one.

I still think Arcia will hit, but even I am befuddled by his AB's! He swings at pitches so absurdly out of the strike zone that it looks like he completely pre determines when h will swing. While I never have been a big believer in taking a fat strike early, just to work the count, leaving you to hit the pitchers pitch, one has to have some discipline. A rule of thumb, if the catcher has to come out of his crouch to reach the pitch, you probably should not have swung at it! Btw, while Joe West should be doing high school games, I can understand his quick trigger on Hunter. Tori's long history of AB's like the one SO yesterday caused a reflex reaction. If a young player had that AB, he would be termed not ready for the bigs!

I must caveat..by saying...in the past when i have been hypercritical of Arcia he goes on a tear..should I pour it on?
