There are 22 pitchers on the 40-man and only 18 batters, so in any of the cases I would expect a pitcher goes.

Fryer makes it only if Pinto is on the DL - probably 60 day in which case no roster cut is needed.

Boyer I can't see making the squad period. I very much hope it's not at the expense of our Rule 5 pick JR Graham. Stauffer was a mistake and I could hope he'd be the one removed, but the salary investment tells me it won't be him. Needs to be a trade, then, to free up the space. Pelfrey to a team in need of a starter, in exchange for a prospect not yet on a 40-man. Stauffer likewise, though it would be a fringe prospect, just for the salary/roster relief.

Ugh. It's not like we don't have marginal players on the 40-man, but these three you named are also marginal.

Agree- and what happens if Hamburger is in the picture? Let's face it- if any of the 3 (or Hamberger) make the final cut, the Twins are in a bind if they don't make a trade!

Adam Thompson, Logan Darnell, Lester Oliveros, Mr. Nunez. Anyone that doesn't for sure figure into plans for 2016 or beyond. I would say that Stephen Pryor is still in the mix. But to have the Twins add THREE non-roster guys, especially the ones mentioned, don't see it happening unless Stauffer is marked as one to go, along with Nunez.

I just remembered, I think it's not allowed to trade a free agent signing before Opening Day. Stauffer would have to be cut, and that's just not going to happen.
