1987 - Gary Gaetti stepped up and smashed two homers to get us going against the favored AL East Detroit Tigers.    Lays claim to ALCS MVP. 
 

2023 - Royce Lewis drives in all three Twins RBI with his pair of roundtrippers vs. the (slightly) favored AL East Toronto Blue Jays.   Fans choice for MVP, if awarded.

As soon as he did it, I was wondering if hitting 2 HR's in his first two post season AB's was a record.  I had forgotten that Gaetti had done it in 1987!  (WHAT KIND OF TWINS FAN AM I)????  And that Evan Longoria had also done it.  Ironic that the club is exclusively 3B so far.  Not sure what primary position Lewis will play in 2024 but he's certainly a 3B for 2023.

Gaetti? He turned out pretty well.  That would be a nice floor for Lewis.
