Per Reports, the Twins have signed Carlos Correa to a 6 year, $200 million deal. The deal includes vesting options.

502 plate appearances in year 6 - $25 million dollars for year 7.

Total value can increase to $245 million if an 8th year happens.

This is per Ken Rosenthal of the Athletic and Jeff Passan of ESPN.

Reminder - This is pending a physical.

It seems like a great deal for the twins! 6-10 years depending on how everything shakes out over the prime of his career. Whats not to like?  The young Pohlad in charge is spending the family fortune finally!!!

Agreed that I think it's a good deal! The front-loaded aspect of it is great, imo! Here's to hoping he's a part of the next team that wins a playoff game!

I was worried the deal would be 10-12 years guaranteed which would have been very risky considering his injuries history, but 6 years 200 million + incentives and a front loaded deal at that is a win win for the Twins.  Bravo Falvey well done.

Six years for $200 is great.  Lewis and Lee will be major league players in that window and one might end up being a SS.  If we end up with 8 years of Correa it will be because GOOD things have happened in the first 6.  Correa is a difference maker.  I'm enthused.  I will applaud the F.O. for getting this done.  Still, there's a part of me that can't shake the feeling that our F.O. just kind of lucked out...again.  BUT!  I'm giving them a thumbs up for sticking with it.

90% of this game is half luck.

Agreed wholeheartedly! I think the 6 year deal with the vesting options/team options was a great move! I'm very excited about the deal!
